On July 6, Forsyth County Commissioners unanimously voted in favor of adopting their Comprehensive Plan 2017-2037. Known as the “Foster Forsyth,” this will serve as Forsyth County’s blueprint for growth and development. It will also dictate any zoning, housing and economic development plans.
As previously reported, this has process begin in early 2016. Most jurisdictions do a review of their comprehensive plans every 10 years or so. Several community hearings were held during this time. After a review by the State of Georgia the Commission moved to take action. The update process was directed by Jacobs and Kimley-Horn.
