The Atlanta Commercial Board of REALTORS® (ACBR) congratulates Kristin Lamb on 28 years of dedicated service to our membership and the real estate community!
She was hired directly out of college in 1989 as ACBR's Executive Secretary and has worked for thousands of REALTORS® over the course of her career. She retires as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ACBR, which is the largest commercial REALTOR® association in the United States with approximately 2,500 members.
Kristin has represented the organization with distinction, serving as the first ever appointed Commercial Executive to the Association Executive Committee of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR); Chairman of the NAR Commercial Leadership Forum; and the Chairman of the Association Executive Committee of the Georgia Association of REALTORS® (GAR).
She has earned the highly credited REALTOR® Certified Executive (RCE) designation for expertise in association management by NAR and received the coveted ACBR President's Award. She has been recognized by the Atlanta Business Chronicle in the "Who's Who in Commercial Real Estate" for 12 consecutive years and was recently selected as one of the Most Admired CEOs in Commercial Real Estate by the Atlanta Business Chronicle for 2016. Bisnow also honored her as one of the Most Powerful Women in Commercial Real Estate.
Earlier this year, Kristin told the Atlanta Business Chronicle that the bottom line is the members. She has always been inspired by them because they are driven, competitive and want ACBR to be the most successful organization possible.
She has welcomed a new board president and committee chairs each year with their own goals and initiatives. It was a challenge she loved, and it led to continuous improvement and elevated ACBR to the benefit of its members. ACBR is considered the model for the nation for outstanding programs, events and member services, receiving national awards and recognition.
Beginning January 1, 2017, Kristin will stay home with her three-year-old daughter, Virginia. An association manager by trade, she will serve as a consultant in 2017 for the associations, building and school managed by Asset Management & Association Services (AMAS), including ACBR. Her love and dedication of our organization has been unwavering.
AMAS provides administrative and operational services for the Atlanta REALTORS® Association (ARA) and ACBR. It also provides staffing for the Atlanta REALTORS® Educational Foundation (AREF), which operates the real estate school, the Georgia Institute of Real Estate, and the Atlanta REALTORS® Center, a 40,000-square-foot building AMAS owns, manages and occupies. AMAS is structured to provide multi-board management and, over the years, has expanded to include additional REALTOR® organizations and the state chapter of SIOR. It provides staffing and services to nearly 12,000 REALTORS® across the state of Georgia.
Kristin is a native of northern Virginia and a graduate of the University of Kentucky.
