2018 GAR Legislative Day at the Capitol

Government Affairs
ACBR members Ethan Armantrout, Deitra Reid and Tom Crumpton meet with Secretary of State Brian Kemp.

On February 6th, over 700 REALTORS® from around Georgia visited the State Capitol to meet with their local legislators to discuss issues that have an impact on the real estate industry as a part of the 2018 GAR Inaugural and Legislative Conference.

REALTORS® held a luncheon where Gov. Nathan Deal addressed the group for the last time as Georgia's Governor. In addition to learning about Georgia's legislative process, REALTORS® were able to speak with their legislators about topics that included eliminating unnecessary HOA estoppel/closing letter fees, the separation and prioritization of property tax bills and fixing unintended consequences of the 2017 State Tax Bill.
