REALTORS® have been offered a seat at the table with “HouseATL.” After Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced her initiative to put $1 Billion towards tackling affordable housing in the city, House ATL was created to help create policy and direction for that initiative.
HouseATL is a cross-sector group of civic leaders committed to building the political and community will for a comprehensive and coordinated housing affordability action plan in the City of Atlanta. HouseATL is an open taskforce – initiated through the convening power and resources of ULI Atlanta, The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, Central Atlanta Progress, Center for Civic Innovation, and Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
Governmental Affairs Director, Aaron Johnson, will sit on the Public Policy sub-committee, which will work to create policies both on the State and local levels to address affordable housing issues. The Governmental Affairs Committee will have significant input in this process.
