Commercial Real Estate Studio Success
We had a great event for our 6th CRE Studio event, proudly presented by ACBR and the Empire Board of Realists. This year, the event featured Michael Ford, General Manager of Global Real Estate & Security for Microsoft. He shared his journey from Alabama to Accounting Controller, to the current head of real estate and security for Microsoft.
He revealed the keys to his success through the life lessons that his parents instilled in him and the necessity of courage to step outside of one's comfort zone (often pushed by his wife). He gave the audience a sneak peek into the future with the real estate technology that Microsoft is integrating into their buildings around the world. Most importantly, he shared the long road that still remains to create a diverse, inclusive workplace in both technology and real estate. We appreciate the contribution of T. Dallas Smith, who was a wonderful Program Coordinator and Moderator for the discussion.
