About the Awards
The Atlanta Commercial Board is fortunate to have many wonderful volunteers donating their time, energy and talent to make the Board a successful organization. Each year, the Board takes the opportunity to recognize a few of these individuals with the following awards: Member of the Year, Affiliate of the Year, Community Service Award, Henry H. Robinson Award and YCR Member of the Year.
Member of the Year Award
The ACBR Member of the Year Award recognizes an ACBR REALTOR® member or ACBR Member who demonstrates exceptional professionalism, leadership, service, and commitment to the commercial real estate industry. Selection is based on the nominee’s professional accomplishments, civic involvement, service to ACBR, and participation at the state and national levels. When the recipient is a REALTOR® member, they may also be submitted as ACBR’s nominee for the Georgia Association of REALTORS® REALTOR® of the Year competition, subject to eligibility requirements.
Archetype Award
The Archetype Award is presented annually to an individual who exemplifies the leading pillars of the commercial real estate industry: perseverance, integrity, spirit, trust, and impact. This recognition honors an individual whose professional reputation, character, and compassion have created a lasting legacy and inspired others through their influence and guidance.
Affiliate of the Year Award
Established in 1991, the Affiliate of the Year Award recognizes an Affiliate member who has made an exceptional contribution of time, energy, and resources to the Atlanta Commercial Board during the calendar year. The recipient is presented with a personalized plaque recognizing the award and the date of presentation.
Community Service Award
The Community Service Award was established by the Atlanta Commercial Board Community Service Committee to recognize an individual member whose ongoing efforts make an exceptional contribution to improving the quality of life within their community. Qualifying activities may include supporting education, creating opportunities for youth, and contributing to other community-based programs.
One recipient is selected to receive a $1,000 grant in their name for a designated community project. The recipient also earns the right to use the Community Service Award logo on their website and promotional materials. This award recognizes ACBR members who contribute meaningfully to their communities, often without public recognition.
Henry H. Robinson Award
The Henry H. Robinson Award is presented annually to the individual, institution, or firm that has made an exceptional contribution to real estate in Atlanta during the calendar year. The award is presented to a recipient outside the Atlanta Commercial Board membership, helping promote the REALTOR® image throughout the community.
