Data Center Task Force Begins Work

The Atlanta Commercial Board recently established a Data Center Task Force. The Task Force is bringing together commercial practitioners and industry experts to examine one of the fastest-growing sectors in commercial real estate.

The task force is evaluating issues including:

• Land use and zoning
• Infrastructure needs, including power and water
• Community engagement and public perception
• State and local regulatory considerations
• Best practices from other markets

The goal is to develop a white paper that will help provide local governments with balanced, market-driven recommendations as data center development continues throughout Georgia.
